I am new to this and have struggled to get to the point where I thought everything was okay. I downloaded songs and burned them onto a CD-R made by Fuji and it will only play on my computer, not in the car or cd player. I then burned the songs onto a CD-R that came with the computer made by Imation and it works on the cd player. Can anyone explain why the Fuji won't play? Thank you!

Your CD players don't like Fuji.

I'm not being sarcastic ... I'm telling the truth. Some devices just won't work in appliances. Don't ask why, just stick with Imation. Probably has something to do with how Fuji manufactures their disks that your CD player's can't read it.

Very true! Some devices are media specific. Some brands don't perform well with them. It might be your burner that's sensitive to the brand rather than your players. Try burning at minimum possible speed to see if that makes a difference. And if you're burning an audio cd, make sure you select audio cd instead of mp3 disk.

Geez, I'll never get the hang of this computer stuff! Thank you for your help. I only hope I can find Imation cds.

Try Sony CD-R's. They work in all of the CD players that we have.
