I know a LOT of people are now experiencing the (full speed down to 1k/s) downloads of Limewire Pro.

Several people have said this is a bug of the 4.9.X versions...

I used to crank out over 300k/s on downloads through Limewire, now it dwindles down to nothing in a matter of seconds.

Are the programmers working to resolve this issue? Have they even figured out what it is?

For that matter, which version can I download for the time being that doesn't have this download "bug"? I can't remember, cause it has been a while.

I am using the latest version of LimeWire and I max out my connection alot of the time 240K/s.

This is not a LW bug. Your ISP or connection manager is limiting the speed of Gnutella, thus affecting LW.

Why would they all of a sudden limit limewire (or P2P in general), when it seems that these slowdowns happened right after I upgraded? I used to max out my connection as well.

Comcast hasn't been known to do that.

Try changing your port settings in LW to 80...
that worked with me for about a month now i am stuck with 2kbs!!!

I have tried installing many other versions of LW from 4.8.1 upwards (for a different reasons) but have never got past 2kbs...
