Incomplete Download File won't delete at all.

Hi. I'm distressed. I have a couple "Incomplete" downloads that do not show up on LW program, but when I go to the folder through my computer the file appears in the "Incomplete" folder. I try to delete it, but the popup message states:
"Cannot delete numanuma.mp3:Cannot find specified file
Make sure you specify the correct path and file name.
"
What can I do? I have sat for three hours trying to figure it out. I've tried right-clicking them, but "delete" is not an option. I've tried dragging them to the Recycle Bin, but I'd get the cirle with a dash through it. I've even uninstalled LimeWire in hopes that the entire "LimeWire" folder and its subfolders(including "Incomplete") would disappear.

What am I to do now?

Please help me.

 Oh my god! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!! You truly are Lord of the Rings(... web rings:rolleyes: ).
It was the classic story. In the begining all the hyperlinks you sent didn't work, I was losing hope as I installed each software on your list and they didn't fix my problem. I was just adding more and more things to my disk space. I was ready to give up on the last one, saying "It is just going to be more waste of space on my computer. Nothing can help me with this problem." Then I said, "Oh, what the heck, I've gone this far." So I intsalled the program from your last hyperlink, "Unlocker", and tried it out. At first it said that the "folder has no Locks". I pounded my fist on the table in great disappointment. I glumly clicked the "OK" button. And then another window popped up, "But we can help you with this folder" I clicked on the drop-down list, selected 'Delete' and "poof" the folder was GONE! I didn't believe my eyes! I restarted the computer, it was still gone! I've been trying to get rid of that headache for weeks! Thank you Lord of the Rings!!!:p

Fantastic! And thank you for posting back what happened & which one worked for you. :)

WOW! You were fast on your last reply. I was re-editing my "Thank You" reply after I had just posted it. You answered back before I could repost my edit! How do you do it all{implied rhetorical question}. Well, thanks again for all your help.

Lord Of The Rings (Unlocker)

I too had a file on my desktop that I could not get rid of no matter what I tried.

Used 'Unlocker' and it was instantly gone.

Thanks for the link 'Lord of The Rings'. A very useful bit of kit.

Regards

marchend:)

Norton Commander

Cannot delete numanuma.mp3:Cannot find specified file

I kept Norton Commader, a DOS program from Peter Norton (before Symantec bought him out), which lets me get rid of lots of things that windows xp refuses to delete and it works from within windows in ordinary or (if necessary) safe mode. It is called NC.exe. I kept it on a bootable floppy for checking out PCs at auctions and for helping other people with problem PCs. I put it on all my computers.
