I have been using limewire a while now, Didn't know about this forum till this evening well 5 mins ago I have been downloading a movie since 3pm this afternoon it's now 11am
700.5mb i am on cable 2meg ... Why is is it taken so long with
9 hosts? speed downing from 5k to max 12k Can I do anything to improve this download!!

Any help will be greatful cheers folks

G Day Birdy Thanks for the welcome... From what I have read, To me seems to be afault caused by not checking 4 star rating!!
This field was check on studying limewire on first use, I have looked over the options help centre and dont see what else could be wrong .... I am sure I am missing something, Like I said I do see 9 hosts still slow... Would it be any help if I closed pro down and restart it!! Cannot believ I said that Think I will BBSAP.

It "is" possible to log onto a false up. So relogging on can refreshen your contacts as well as giving you healthy ultrapeers to connect thru.

I always lik to know what hosts I'm downlding from. Right-click the top of the downld window & choose to show client/version (sorry I can't remember the exact term & since LW is closed at the moment.) It it's a client other than LW, then you may suffer unreliable results such as those from RAZA (Shareaza).

Thankyou for your bit Lord, After refreshing pro I am on 10 hosts now speeds gone up to 18kb LOL I'm at 60% still telling me 10 hour Whoops 4 hour now damn whats going on Got too laugh..

My daughter wants it .... I have downloaded a few movies befor
fastest download at same size was 4 hours... that was Fantastic four... Not moaning much am I LOL must be the drink I'm sticking to that......

Holly molly LORD I was doing as you said look who im downloading from ,, It says Limewire dont know who it is.

Samll problem now I have lost the download box screen?
how do I get it back???

Did you click to show what I suggested?

Within the main LW window it's possible to show "just" the search or "just" the downld window.

Sift thru these links to see if you can find what you need to do:
Drag partitions: See Drag window paritition up (click on link) image example.

Two options: 1. Click on the small arrows on the LW main window. If that doesn't work click the other arrow. 2. Drag the partition up or sideways; see examples here: Example A (click on link) & also Example B (click on link) (click on arrows to show single window)

Good stuff & healthy connection by the looks. Sure they're partial but better than less. If you want faster then offer faster downld settings & make sure the sources are fresh.
