I Cant Get Limewire Pro But I Bought It!

I bought limewire pro, i got the e-mail thingy saying i bought it. All it said for installation was the following in the e-mail:

Thank you for choosing LimeWire PRO.

Please go to www.limewire.com/support to find your link to download LimeWire PRO.



IM SO FRUSTRATED THAT IM HISTERICAL, ALL ME AND MY FRIEND WANT IS LIMEWIRE PRO :confused: :mad:

So in order to download it all you have to do is go to freaking technical support? I dont think so, something must have gone wrong, but we bought the damn thing so it should work!:mad:

I already did that and it only got me limewire downloads not limewire pro downloads.

Looks like you clicked on the third link--you'll need to click the first or second link in the email. Here's what my reply from LW Pro looked like (I snipped out my personal code info)

No but you see thats the problem, my e-mail didnt have any of that!! :(

Oh no!

That means you didn't get an email from the official LimeWire Pro people, but from one of the scam sites that are pretty good at making people *think* they are getting Pro.

Can you post the email you received (just snip the personal info) so others can be warned?

No no no it was definatly the right websight i know it was limewire, when i opened my own limewire it said do you want to upgrade to limewire pro and i clicked that, that couldnt be a scam could it? how could someone change the link limewire itself gives you to become their own scam page.

If you are sure that you paid the right people for LW Pro, then the link GrandPa gave above should recognize the email address you used and get you either your download page or pro support.

If you somehow ended up with a hacked copy of LW Pro, that changed the address (first I heard of that), then the Pro lookup page won't recognize the email address and just default to the regular download page.

I hope you took a careful look at the scam thread I linked above. It's a good warning to everybody about some of the trick the scammers use.

Okay tell me this isnt weird, i just tried to get limewire pro for my computer and it worked fine that time (first time i was trying to get it on my laptop thats the one that didnt work) so why does it work on my comp and not my laptop? ><
