Can't see uploads in the monitor area

I can't see any uploads when I go to the monitor tab. I get the list of current searches in the top section but nothing appears in the bottom section. Am I stopping uploads somehow? I've checked in tools options etc and everything seems fine there. Is it just that people don't want what I've got?
Cheers.
Stevie

There is a "clear completed" uploads checkbox in the options.

Nope. I'm afraid that didn't work. I should say that every now and then an upload does appear but they are few and far between. Very low transfer rate too.
Thanks for your help though.

You can go to your Library window, select any of your shared folders & look to the columns to the right. Hits will tell you which files were found in other people's searches, & uploads column will tell you which ones were uploaded fully or partially or distrupted.
If you want to increase you sharing, enable partial file sharing. That means people will use some parts of your files whilst downlding from other people.

Thanks again, I have done what you said. The hits column shows plenty of hits but all upload columns are showing 0/0.

Hmm give it time.

I think it may be working ok now. Maybe I was expecting a flood of uploads. I have since found other information on the Forum and realise that this may not be the case.
Thanks again, your suggestions elsewhere have been helpfull too.
Stevie.

Are you getting incoming? Do this test: Bug Report instructions & sample image Is the result True/False? If true then all's fine. If false, then you have some kind of a firewall issue. And the only uploads you'll get are "forced" uploads. LW does have some ability to force its way thru firewalls, but this is not always successful & can result in problems downlding for those persons uploading from you or attempting to.

Aw no. It says false.

Lord of the Rings April 4th, 2006 11:41 AM

Ah that's not good. No wonder you were having problems uploading.

Can you tell us about your set up.
1. What firewalls do you have?
2. Which operating system?
3. Which modem/router brands & model numbers do you have?
4. Who is your ISP?
