Musica is flying high
Default Download option leads to browser

Hi, I'm using limewire basic and it was working perfectly fine until a few days ago. I used it in the morning and left it open (unused) to the afternoon. Everything seemed fine til I tried to use it in the afternoon.

When I click 'Download' it would open a window in my Opera Browser saying invalid address (http://./). It never happened to me before and I don't know how to get it fixed.

I hope someone can help me with this problem and thanks in advance!

Edit: I tried deinstalling it and re-installing it several times but the same problem occured.

It sounds to me like you've been hit by the sponsored type results. Put sponsored into your keyword filters. The LW beta 4.11 has introduced an anti-http downld option to stop those type of search results. See Sponsored Results (click on link) & I guess also see action metadata problem/bug/vunerability (sponsored results!)

thanks for the quick reply =)

I tried both deleting the preference folder and filter but the problem was still there. But by now I realised it only happened to certain files and maybe its a sponsored file after all. Sorry for the trouble, I'll just try other options I guess.

I'm not sure if it will work, but put http in the keyword filters. Also tick the ignore html files option. Obviously not all of those results announce that they are sponsored or link to a http file or are basically just fake.
