I don't know why you had 2 copies of the same file. But your hard drive is not damaged. It is impossible to damage your hard drive by simple writing to it. Your computer is probably lagging when limewire is running due to lack of memory or something like that. Hard Drive are capable of writing memory at literally 1000s of times greater speeds than 1K if yours isn't then you have a bad hard drive and limewire has nothing to do with it. Writing to 2 files at once for most of todays computers is no problem if you have an older weaker machine it could slow your computer down.
