P2P is short for Peer 2 Peer eg: file sharing.... It's becomming more common that ISP's will filter or shape p2p/file shareing apps like limewire either to conserve bandwidth or to try to control the sharing of copyrighted material.

Ok, thanks for the info.
But consider this too. My connection speed dropped massively, but my classmates' didn't. Not one of them!!! Furthermore, they use the same ISP company as I do!

Try deleting the limewire preferences folder(while LW is closed) point 2 & 3. Fixes for Limewire when LW isn't operating as it should!

6_Pacs last link will tell you were your preference folder is point 2 and 3...
The red dot means you are not visible to other forum members when you are online...Mine is green it means Im online....
