 In LW go to Tools>Options>Saving, and where it says "Days to keep Incomplete Files" put in 999 or something then click apply. That should keep them from disappearing. The files you've lost you'll probably have to research for them and start over. If they're still in the incomplete folder, try right clicking them and click resume.
