since i got limewire 4.12.3 Norton Antivirus keeps on sending stupid alerts that says "norton had detected a remote system that is attemping to access your computer" and the file that causes this is the limewire.exe file and i get this alert like every 5 seconds, even when i say "permit". it's annoying and my downloads are very slow now because of this..any idea of how to solve this?

Do you have Norton Internet Security or just a plain antivirus program fromn Norton?

umm..i think i have the plain antivirus program...there are internet worm protection options but i'm not sure how to use it

Have you tried to uninstall Norton and use another reliable program such as AVG or Avast:
