real_odracir is flying high
Default Download rate starts to fall, gets 0 and never raises back

I have the following problem: when i turn on the limewire, the download speed is high, but almost instantly it begins to fall until it gets 0 KB\s, although it still is connected to many . Once it gets 0 it won´t raise never more so i cannot download new files, neither finish the ones I already have part of it.
Someone can help me getting out of this problem?

Has this just started happening?

Download a file from here & see what speeds you get

How many green connection bars do you see? Do you see the firewall icon (brick wall)? Who is your ISP?
Do you use any other p2p apps & if so, do you have the same problem with download speeds?

Although your problem may be different to the one I had but your posting mirrors an experience I had with my previous ISP.

When my previous ISP introduced anti-P2P traffic shaping techniques, i.e. killing off P2P connections, my first inkling of this was when my downloads would start about 20kbs, instead of the usual 60 - 120kbs, and then rapidly drop down to 0, never to rise again.

My former ISP made no announcement and gave no warning of their intended introduction of an anti-P2P policy, they just did it.

Now, at this stage I don’t know whether or not this is your problem but it was mine.

So, I would suggest you continue to follow Birdy’s advice, in order to eliminate or cure any technical problems you may have. Afterward, if needed, phone your ISP, making sure that you speak to a technician, and ask if they are now blocking P2P traffic or port 6346.
