searhging and nothing happens

Hi, i have downloaded limwire today when I try and search i get the message LimWire is currently connecting to the network. Your search may not return many results until you are fully connected to the network. I do have the brick wall in the bottom left hand corner saying firewall detected. I don't think the XP firewall is on but I am running Norton Internet Security. Thanks
