 To be honest I think you are better off getting DSL, as a friend of mine had Limewire on dial up and was lucky to get 3KB/s whilst downloading...She now has Broadband and it is alot better... You could try configuring LW to achieve faster downloads, but in my opinion it would be a waste of time as you may gain a KB or two... But this is only my opinion, others may offer some fixes...

| I used to have AOL 56.6kb and I would only get 5kb/s and occasionally 6kb/s and 7-11 kb/s on really small files (Under 1000kb). I switched to Pro too, no help but I recently upgraded to Comcast cable and now my speeds are so fast you wouldn't believe it. I suggest you make the switch.  |
