i cant restart my downloads when i dont shut down my computer properly....is there any way i can restart those partial downloads....iv tried going to the incomplete files folder an restarting the downloads from there but the download doestn resume bt starts from the start ...help me

Go to Library window, select the incomplete folder, then select the 1st whilst holding down the SHIFT key to last so they're all selected & press the Resume button. With LW 4.12 these will continue from where they were. Previous versions would all begin at zero %.

Lord of the Rings, or Anyone !Thanks for this, iv'e done the 'resume' download thing, all reset to zero, not only that , when re-starting LW old downloads don't pause at the '' connect '' phase just '' Queued '' then to ''Waiting and time countdown, then ''Need more Sources '' and when resumed from '' Need more sources'' to ''awaiting sources '' without pausing to try and connect, or doing so ,so quickly i can't see,does this mean I will just have to delete all old downloads and start again, That would be a REAL pain,am running 4.12.6,but had a ''hang'' and had to re-start after switch off. Please can you or anyone help? Presumably ( Iv'e checked) the old partial files are still there, just wont resume properly. Desperate. Newbee2 ( Using XP )There is no problem with new downloads at all, just old ones,also tried re-installing LW didn't help.After more homework,I did save bak files new ones are bigger in Incomplete folder now, should I try and insert old ones??????? As for the starting up and reverting dirctly to need source and awaiting source, try to delete the LW preference folder as described in Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire:
