Awkward Download Speed

I Have been using limewire to download my music. i used to get speeds of up to 45kb/s. recently, it seems like my speed is capped to 4kb/s. i have tried downloding other songs but all of them download at 4kb/s.

A corruption of the LW preference folder...

Second, your ISP has started to throttle the bandwidth usage (especially for P2P programs). Try and download a magnet file from here and see what speed you get for it, then post the result as well:http://www.magnetmix.com/video.shtml

I first tried to download that file and still i had the same problem. then i tried following the sticky to delteting the folder and i got speeds of 75kb/s.

so it works now.
