Unhappy i don't know what to do. i need help quick

hello. i am new, and just downloaded limewire, although i can't download. everytime i try to download a song, it says "Need more sources". then i hit "Find sources" and it takes a long time (i.e. 2-3 mins.) then it just says awaiting sources, yet nothing happens. I've been very patient. I don't know if it helps but i have cable/dsl, and my connection is good, it is limewire basic. somebody please help, i need to know what to do. thank you to whoever helps me.

You might be trying to download fake files. Have a look through the sticky below (click on link). Try searching for artist or album rather than song title. Go for files with a lower number of sources (10 - 20)...if a file has a huge number of sources (sometimes up to 100) it's often fake. Don't waste time withthings that sit connecting for ages & then show 'need more sources', try a different file or search again.

You should check the stickies (in red) at the top of forum sections...they have answers to a lot of commonly asked questions:wink:

Try adding .wma to the keyword filter (tools > options > filters > keywords). Click Apply after adding. Now they shouldn't appear in your searches any more. You can undo this at any stage.

Try going for a file with less than 10 sources, or a file with a modem source...what happens then?

Are you trying to download very new releases? Try downloading an older song...what happens?
