 erm i think its all sorted. i gave up trying to set a static ip and changing my router settings to allow limewire through its firewall. ended up just changing the listening port to 15618 i think it was and now the brick wall is gone. the java thing i think i understand. i changed my explorer to firefox 2.0 and since then the java icon vanished. i've just deleted and reinstalled it  |
