Well, the link test is working now. My little adapter thing isn't plugged into a phone line, its into the USB port. Also, I found the little firewall thing, but according to the settings LimeWire IS an exception. *kicks computer*

802.11g Wireless USB Adapter? *sigh* There might be something of the front that is still has the tape on it, but If I remove it it will fall apart and I'll have no internet at all.

Windows XP has a firewall...

Start...control panel...windows firewall

Make sure LW is listed as an exception (or just turn it off to see if it's the problem...turn it back on, though!)

Good Luck

Default Have a look at this thread...

But before you do, try the port 6346 test again as there was a problem with the page; I've just checked and all is well now.

Regards.

PS No anti-virus and you didn't check that you had a firewall: you're naked!

Default PS

If you are connected to the internet via a wireless link it is the router plugged into the phone line, rather than the adapter in the back of your machine that Wonder Why is interested in.

Regards.
