I have a dell w/ windows xp and some of my completed and incomplete files are in red print where the rest are in black....... what exactly does that mean.... any advice would be helpful....

The red files are not being shared. Either they are in a folder that isn't being shared, or Limewire hasn't recognized the files, yet. If you want to share a particular file in red, right-click the file and choose 'start sharing file'.
