i dont know what happened, i havent used limewire in about a week, and just a little while ago i opened lw to find that all my incomplete dl's were gone from the library so i cant figure out how to resume them. i also found an "incomplete" folder on my start menu that wasnt there last week, and the only thing in it is downloads.dat and .bak. i still have my original incomplete folder in my music folder of my comp, but i dont know how to PUT it into lw? why did it do this to me? its done this to me i think twice before, each time about a year apart (creepy?). i closed out lw and restarted it and it was still the same, my options had all been reset and my library of incompletes is still gone. gr!!! **on a side note, ive been trying to dl some of these songs since last FALL and still havent gotten any new sources from them, how freakin annoying is that??**
so right now im installing the new lw (4.12.11) and in the meantime i copied all the incompletes so i can paste them elsewhere in case the new lw overwrites my old folder. but anyway can anyone tell me what happened and maybe what i could do to prevent it from happening again in a year(lol)?

There is (was?) an option to set the number of days to keep incomplete files. See if yours was set for 365 days--that might explain the annual purge.

However, old incomplete files are not likely to resume, so they usually end up just wasting space.

Incompletes are useless without the same downloads.dat and .bak files that are in the same folder. So, if you want to retry an old incomplete folder, just replace your current incomplete folder with the old.
