Default My downloads become zipfiles...Help

A couple days ago I opened limewire and noticed all my songs in my library were zipfiles. I couldn't launch them or do anything with them until I extracted the files. I don't understand why it just did that. I uninstalled limewire than installed it again but had the same issue. Everytime I download songs they become zipfiles. My limewire never used to be like this. How can I fix this??

That's caused by a virus and those zip files contain viruses.

Scan your computer for viruses. If you don't have a decent AV try AVG free or Avast.

See: growing number of ZIP files all the same size & Free ANTI-VIRUS programs

WARNING: Viruses on network you should be aware of!

Just one more thing.....

The only AV that has be known to get rid of this virus is AVG, it is free...So if you aren't running that AV the best thing to do is disable the one you have and download AVG, scan your computer, get rid of the virus and then you can unistall AVG and make your normal AV active again...

AVG download.....http://free.grisoft.com/doc/2/lng/us/tpl/v5
