Thumbs up Files (misnamed/spam)

Hi Folks,
this is my first forum so be kind to me.
I have been using Limewire and I have found that a lot of Film Titles for Download are not as they are described so I end up with the wrong film!
Can members rename their files to the correct title as I have done.

There are heaps of misnamed files on the network & unfortunately I think that it'll stay that way. Right click a search result > advanced > look up file with Bitzi.

Bitzi is a site where users can rate files. When you look up a file with Bitzi, you can see the ratings & get some idea of the file's content & quality. It's worth always checking video files with Bitzi (music doesn't get rated as often) to rule out fake & misnamed files If a file has heaps of sources but no Bitzi rating, chances are it's a fake. There's more info here.
How to use Bitzi

You can also preview your downloads after ~10% to check whether you've got the right file.

I have noticed that all the files with 1140 m in size are of some girl dancing, so no matter what it says it is i trash can all the files that size, i got that file about 100 times before i figured out not to download a file that size
1140 mgb file size = TRASH CAN

You should also pay attention to the size of the files. i.e. for a full length film, you should be expecting something around 700 MB (500-1,000+ depending on length and quality of encoding). Sort your files by size after you do a search. This will help you pick out some of the fakes, also. If you see several or many differently named files all with the same file size, and you can't download one of them, you won't be able to download any of them.

Hope this helps

Dano
