Songs being downloaded only playing first few seconds....

everytime i dowload a song, it only downloads the first 4 seconds of the song over and over.....when i play the full download back, it just keep playing the first 4 seconds over and over...

Please help if you can. All day today and a few days ago any song I have been trying to download have appeared to download successfully, but when I play them, either directly off of limewire or using a media player, all the recently downloaded songs only play the first 8 seconds of the song over & over for the length of the song. Its not just a few songs, its any song I try to download. All of my old songs are totally fine, its just the recent ones. ..... ?????

I don't know what the problem is. I've rebooted and everything.

No, that isn't it.....its with any file, any artist.
And I have tried multiple players. Its so bizarre!

I still tend to think it's fake files(there's more out there than you'd think). Just to test I d/loaded about 6 popular files last night and they all played fine. Could be your connected to some bad ultrapeers. You should try using PeerGuardian2. It works like a mini firewall that blocks ip addresses know to be unfriendly towards p2p. If your using the beta version of LW you can use Aarons Hostiles list. It also block undesirable ip's. Instructions for it in this thread: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/open-d...-limewire.html.

I use both and rarely run into problems with fake files.
