o.k., I've downloaded a couple of movies, but when I click to play them they run at a "FAST FORWARD" speed. How do I adjust my computer to play the downloaded movies back at "REGULAR" speed?

They could be fake files.
Did you look up the file with Bitzi before downloading ?

Do you get the same speed when you play all video files ?

Have you tried a dvd ?

Also, what player are you using? What kind of files are they?

The files are AVI and I am using a NERO MEDIA PLAYER, when I click on the downloads, they play at an extremely fast rate....just as if somebody clicked on a "fast forward button. The file is complete, the visual quality is great, but there is no sound and they're playing at an incredibly fast rate, again, just like if you hit a fast forward button on a video tape.
All other files, mpeg, etc, play normally and the DVD player works perfectly in my computer. I just have to solve this "fast forward-ish"
problem.

Try downloading & using the VLC media player (Its Free) & recommended by us here
at the limewire forums. VLC player has most all of the codec's built into the player &
plays above average quality for music & excellent quality for video files, (It plays most everything)

If you wish, VLC player can be set as the default player for your computer, to do this
In Limewire Library, highlight a file mp3, avi or whatever you wish then click on
explore, in the bottom left corner.
This will take you to the shared folder outside of Limewire, right click on a file,
choose, open with, highlight VLC player, then tick the box to always use this program
to open this type of file. Repeat this action to include all the file types you wish VLC
to be the default player.
