up until yesterday limewire worked fine. but now whenever i search i just get whitre, the search goes through, but nothing comes up. just white, the nsearch acts like it is done, but there is ntohing there. no matter what i search. please help

yeah i am having this problem too, it just stopped working suddenly, i didn't change any settings on my computer or anything and i have already tried using the firewall settings the lime wire help section tells you to do.

i HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM! I am using windows vista, and a different user on the same computer is using the same install of limewire ( 4.122.11) without a problem. I havent done anything to change the parameters that I know of, and It still doesnt work if I restore to mmy earliest date.

Go to your connections Tab in limewire, if it's not showing up go to Veiw > Show/Hide and make sure the connection tab has a tick next to it...
Then click on the Hosts and remove them and let Limewire search for some more...
Just make sure limewire doesn't retreave the same host's, if it does shut limewire down and then restart it...

lol..I'm glad you didn't, I would of got a complex...
If it happens again take note of the IP numbers and add them to your Host Filter..
To find this go to Tools > Options > Filters and select the Host Filter and add these IP's into it and select apply...

Some time back this list caused trouble for a lot of users..
204.11.219.225
204.11.219.226
204.11.219.227
204.11.219.229
204.11.219.231

There all Fake Hosts...
