Default Cannot download using PRO 4.12.11

When I first purchased LimeWire PRO 4.12.11 I was able to search and download with great success. I don't download too much but over the last couple of days I've just absolutely no success.

1. I connect to LimeWire and in the bottom left hand corner it says Turbo Charged Connection.

2. I do a search and the files come up.

3. I doubleclick on the appropriate file and it says "Connecting..."

Then it will just sit there and finally say "Need More Sources"

I'm using DSL and this was working before, now it's not. These are files that are common and not where just one user has it.

I feel as though I might have been ripped off of my 20 dollars.

Please advise.

What type of files are you trying to download? If you are trying to download movies, there are many fake files on the network.

Good Luck

No I'm just trying to download mp3's. I have tried more so during the day rather than night, if that could mean something.

I am having the same problem. I've tried reinstalling, deleting java and reinstalling, updating Java, deleting limewire preference files, restarting the computer. It worked before and no changes have been made to my computer hardware or software. Still says turbo charged connection, still initiates fast search returns. Downloads show in the download pane. Shows # of active downloads at the bottom but 0 KB/s. Help!

As Dano said, they're probably fakes. See: Fake files showing up in search results, How to find music(and movies).

Check files with Bitzi Web Lookup before downloading. This will help with larger files like movies but small files like songs usually don't get rated.
