Question download - force resume?

my service provider (virgin.net) automatically disconnects my connection after two hours.

This means that after the two hours is up, i can reconnect but the files i have queued for download are listed as - could not download -

is there any way that you can automatically - force resume - upon reconnection so that it doesn't have to be done manually.
