Slow Downloads!

I'M NOT REALLY SURE WHY MY DOWNLOADS ARE ONLY MOVING AT 10KB/S.....CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME. I PURCHASED THE LIMEWIRE PRO ABOUT A YEAR AGO....IT WOULD STILL BE ACTIVE RIGHT?
