studmuffin02 is flying high
Default Stuck on "Need More Sources" and LW shows firewall but I have none

I connect fine, often "Turbo Charged" and I pull up lots of searches but no matter what I try and dowload, be it movie, video, images or music, it will always do the "need more sources","connecting" loop and never dowload. Also, Limewire indicates I have a firewall but I have Windows Firewall turned off and uninstalled AVG. I have a router I'm connecting to wirelessly and I have the listen and manual ports (which are identical, 51821) forwarded in the router. I've also deleted the ultapeers in >connetions many times incase I'm getting fake files but that didn't help anything. I even upgraded to PRO but that didn't help anything. Heres my information:

1. OS version? (eg: Windows 98) Windows XP Pro SP2
2. What firewalls you have? Windows (Turned off)
3. How much ram? 1gb
4. Hard Disk space available? 2.49gb of 90gb
5. Connection type? (eg: dialup, broadband, cable, etc.) Cable
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? Linksys WRT54G Wireless Router
7. Where are you trying to connect from (house, appartment complex, school, student accomodation, work, etc.)? Home
8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? (Go to LW's menu Help>About LW...) Will show both LW & Java version. LW 4.12.3, Java 1.5.0_06
9. Who is your ISP (Internet Service Provider)? Cable One
10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? Your test worked!!
11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? If yes, please give details of set up. I also have uTorrent installed and running always. Tried closing uTorrent once but no change.
12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user. First time
13. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface? Yes

14. For those using a modem/router, how is your modem/router set up...are you port forwarding or is UPnP enabled? I am port forwarding and UPnP is enabled.
15. What security programs are you using (antivirus etc)? Some people might not be aware that their security suite includes a firewall I had AVG but have uninstalled it.
16. What country are you living in? Sometimes there are ISPs with the same name in more than one country (eg Clearwire in the USA & also in Ireland). USA

If anybody can provide some help I'd really appreciate it. Thanks a bunch!

First thing that springs out at me is your WRT54G which was a lemon model that Linksys released. They never bothered to fix the firmware problems it has. Definitely Port Forwarding the device is better than UPnP for that model. It can't be both UPnP enabled & port forwarded, it should be one or the other afaik. Also for port forwarding the very first thing you must do is set up a static ip or else the process won't work & you'll need to delete that rule & re-do it. Double-check your port forwarding here PortForward.com - Free Help Setting up Your Router or Firewall

BTW there is a 3rd party firmware fix for that model router, but only do it if you are confident of such things. Check under UPnP for your Linksys model here: Connection problems? Check here first! (click on link) & you'll find it about half way down the page under notes about linksys upnp setting up.

As for your download issues, sound like fakes; check these tips: 1. How to find music, ____ 2. See http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showpo...45&postcount=2 (searching),
3. (a) Beware of Fake files in search results, __(b) Check this link Recognising fake files
