Default Major Problems Since Installing The New Limewire 4.14

Hello everyone I have a few problems with limewire Number 1, when I connect to limewire my connection fluctuates back and fourth Sometimes it stays on with the green bars being completly full and then it will lose connection and I will have no green bars. It keeps connecting then loosing connection. Second everytime I sign on to limewire and search for new results it aloows me 2 to 3 searches which it will give me info for the music or videos I am looking for, but after that my search results come back with nothing. It searches but does not find anything. If I turn my computer off and restart limewire it once again lets me searc 1 or 2 times then nothing

The starnge thing is is that once I am downloading something it keeps downloading with no problems even if there are NO green bars on the conection. Also whenever I use limewire now my computer runs slowly if I am trying to use the internet.

Hopefuly someone can help me fix this problem

I am using cable and my firewall through mc phee says it is allowing limewire full acces.

I'm finding Limewire 4.14 to be dragging the life out of my computer as well, I'm having difficulties loading pages...

But onto your connection problem...It could be a Java issue try uninstalling all versions of Java from the add/remove programs and then re-install the JRE 5.11 offline version....
Archive: Download Java 2 Platform Standard Edition (J2SE) 5.0 Update 11

Have a look at these tips as well...
Frequently Asked Questions - LimeWire

You could also try this...
Go to your connections Tab in limewire, if it's not showing up go to Veiw > Show/Hide and make sure the connection tab has a tick next to it...
Then click on the Hosts and remove them and let Limewire search for some more...

I too am having problems since dwnloading 4.14. My searches are very slow and usually don't give me much of anything. This was only an update. I don't even try to go to other places on the internet while I'm doing limewire because I also downloaded Peerguardian and I don't want to have to deal with it trying to keep me from accessing pages. I hate it for people who actually paid for this version. However, the 4.13 was even worse as far as being buggy. That's the only reason I upgraded to 4.14 in the first place. Thing is, when I went to my personal download page for the PRO, the only choice given was to download the next newer version. I wish I could go back to the 4.12 version I had. I may not have that handy search feature for the library but at least I wasn't wasting my time scouring the forums for answers. I was busy happily downloading. Not anymore. I've done all the suggestions I've come across so far. Obviously many other users are having trouble with this version so why don't the developers take it out of the options and fix it before people just end up losing their money?

How did you uninstall limewire?
If you're doing it via Add/Remove programs then that can cause problems!!
The correct way to uninstall is Start > All programs > Limewire/Uninstaller

Use your computer's search to look for all files & folders with limewire in the name. If you can't delete them, reboot into safe mode & then try. If they still won't delete, try one of the tools here...
Incomplete Download File won't delete at all.

Once that is all cleaned up try downloading your Pro again from you personal download page...
