Make sure you click on "My Computer" first, then pick the drive you want form the list. Don't click on the drive where it's listed by itself.

Hmmm, don't know. You could try deleting your pref folder with LW completely shut down. See points 2 & 3 in this thread: Fixes for Limewire. This will reset all your option settings, so make a note of them first.
