Default downloads ok/no uploads

ok.. I have been working on this issue for several days now and read lots n lots of posts before speaking out. My Lime wire searches and downloads fine, but I feel guilty that no one can upload my 800+ shared files, even after leaving limewire connected all night.

My Specs:

1. OS version? Win Xp w/SP2
2. What firewalls you have? McAfee
3. How much ram? 512
4. Hard Disk space available? 10+GB
5. Connection type? Cable Broadband?
6. Cable Modem Scientific Atlanta 2100
7. connect from? Home
8. version : Limewire 4.12.6 Pro... Java 1.5.0_11
9. Who is your ISP : Comcast Cable
10. Do this simple test for us. The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? Confirmed
11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? No
12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user. Experienced, problem has existed for a while.
13. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface? No

14. For those using a modem/router, how is your modem/router set up...are you port forwarding or is UPnP enabled? No controls for modem. set LAN card to Auto AND static IP, tried both UPnP and forwarding to 6346 (also made a port config within firewall to open 6346 jus for Limewire)

15. What security programs are you using (antivirus etc)? Complete McAfee.. AntiVirus and Firewall

16. What country are you living in? USA

This seemed to begin when I tried to upgrade to Limewire 4.13 sometime ago and decided to go back to previous version. Have since ( recently )uninstalled, deleted and re-installed LimeWire 4.12Pro

Any Ideas??? Thanks

Persistence pays off. downloaded ( and installed ) v4.14 Basic to my seperate external hard drive and uploads were in progress within 5 minutes and (so far ) still hitting.

Final Config was static IP on LAN card with McAfee Firewall, not Windows.

Hell of a way to get an education!!
