Canceling while downloading.. Help plz

Lately when I was in the process of downloading a song and realized that I didn't want it, I tried to right-click and cancel it. The song disappeared from my download field, but the folder icon was still present beside the song in the selection field instead of transforming into a "cut icon" like it normally does. At first I paid no attention to it, but when I checked my song folder I saw that the song that I supposedly "deleted" was there anyway. I tried this with a few other songs and the result is the same; no matter what I delete, the song ends up getting downloaded. Did I acquire some kind of bug, and if so, how do I get rid of it? Or if I didn't, how can I permanently delete a file that is currently downloading like I used to be able to do?

I think what you are doing is resuming from the incomplete folder right? Even though you delete files from the download window, there is still a incomplete file in the incomplete folder. That file should also be deleted.

Otherwise, make a note of all your option settings, then try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire (sample image included at bottom of page.)
