![]() I'm using 4.14 the newest version. I have a few files downloading and they start downloading and always fade away to 0 kb/s within a few minutes and won't get moving again unless I restart Limewire, but even then it only lasts a few minutes and then goes to zero. There are plenty of sources for the files, usually 8. It's not like my connection is going down because my uploads or people downloading from me keeps moving right along. It's not a bandwidth problem either because it's high speed and the internet is fine. Anyone else have this problem of downloads going to zero kb/second soon after you connect? And it multiple downloads so it's not like it is just a glitch with one file. The fact that the uploads keep going is what I find confusing. VERY rarely it connects and stays connected. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

![]() I could be that your isp is shaping your bandwidth. They have programs that'll detect file sharing programs and throttle back on your speeds. Try d/loading at different times of the day(off peak hours). Try doing a couple speed tests: Speed Test Internet Speed Test DSL Speed Test Broadband Speed Test Bandwidth Speed Test Broadband Speedtest on ZDNet UK

![]() I am experiencing what sounds like the exact same behavior and it only started within the last 2 days. Basically uploads behave as before. Downloads start off fine; e.g. 4 hosts, speeds in the 20-30 KB/s range. Network strength is high, I have measured my broadband speed, and all those specs seem fine. I was also able to download using BitTorrent and that worked fine as well. But after about 5 minutes the Limewire download speed goes to zero even though the status shows downloading from 4 hosts. And the speed just stays at 0. I have tried this at night, early in the morning, same results. I am on Mac OS 10.4.9, but I doubt that is a factor. Does anyone else out there have a suggestion. Again, everything worked fine until the last couple of days. thanks |

![]() and...... i know i have the download bandwidth at unlimited and for a fact its not any of my settings. ive used limewire for years and this issue has been there for a while. when i first use limewire after getting a new computer or completely cleaning the mo fo limewire will download great, then after a month or so viruses take there toll. my theory is large buisnesses hired hackers to infiltrate and "f" the limewire infrastructure. to go more in depth if you never download porn HAHA you will be less likely to have your limewire go on the fritz. BUT this still ****** me off i wana download blade runner but not at 1 f'n kilobyte a sec p.s. are we allowed to curse? im new dont wana get kiked cause im lazy and ill just pay some1 to download **** i want P.S.S!
