I have a high speed cable modem. When I try to download music or videos from Lime Wire the connection speed drops drastically, typically to 2-4 Kb/Sec. I get other downloads to between 40 - 70 Kb/sec. Any help please.

Jim,
It could be the computer you are downloading from is not on a high speed connection. I've noticed that some files indicate being on a T1 connection and they download like a modem. If I get a slow download and I see more than one file of the same and not grouped, I will try them others and take the fastest one, killing the slow ones. Good Luck |

I was worried that I hav not been able to get ANY downloads at the faster speed expected from a cable modem. Is it likely to be a setting on my machine? I'm a bit green at this.
