i open limewire and it says
im sharing over 1000 files
what does this mean??
and should i do something about it??

If Limewire is saying that you are sharing over 1000 files and you didn't put any of them up there yourself then you probably have a virus.

Just be sure you intended to share that many files as RobertR suggested.

I share well over 2,000 files but all intended to share. My shares are a selection of iTunes music folders, videos & some worldwide nature photographic images. I also share some of my files from my download folder.
