hey, im having the exact same problem.. been looking for a fix but cant find a thing.
It started about a week ago now, only thing i can do to get around it is to delete the file im downloading, including the other bits left in the incomplete folder then redownload the file.. it seems when i either put the download on hold or exit limewire completely, it gets messed up.. When i download now i leave the ***** downloading till it finishes, i got a dsl connection but speeds remain under 80kbps so downloading full length movies takes hours and hours!!!!!!!! its a ****ing pain!! and there doesnt seem to be any easy fix, ive googled the **** out of this problem and read a whole bunch of threads, having come up with no solution!! ![]() please let me know if you find out something that works |

Yes! I'm facing the same problem here too!
My download was initially at 45% but when I restarted Limewire a little later the progress bar had dropped to 6% God...I reinstalled Limewire too... No luck... Also I had opened the Incomplete folder regularly to Preview the file while it was being downloaded earlier... Wonder if it could have anything to do with this... Pls do help!! |

I doubt what OS you are using is the issue....I noticed this bug a LONG time ago...and since its never been resolved it rather makes me wonder...for this and many other reasons I no longer use LW, rather Phex or the BearShare beta version listed in this forum

Im using the latest version of limewire v.4.18.6 and runnin XP pro
I really got no idea whats going on, this is the first time ive ever had any kind of problem using limewire and ive been using it for years!! I tried reinstalling older versions but that hasnt helped! I shutdown LW and the next day came back on to finish the file i was downloading, saw it was only at 27%, left it running all day to come back and see the progress bar unchanged, still at 27%!!!!! I sat there watching it and then bang it drops down to 8% then up again and then back down. I deleted the file completely came back and downloaded it again, the exact same file, left it, same problem... stuck at 27%, going down and then back up again... so i did the same thing agian deleted it but then downloaded a different one left it to download and BANG, got it.. I find that if you dont exit limewire and just let the download run its course then you wont have a problem. Still would like to know why this is happening and how to fix it!!! If you come up with anything please let me know Thank you |
