uploads and downloads start then stop

Hi All
I am having problems with Limewire Pro using Vista
It appears that I am sharing with multiple users to both upload and download. I am sharing 955 files and up to 35 on one file.
The problem is that neither for these is happening with any speed.
When I open, LW things proceed normally but then it reverts to 0KB/s for both up and downloads.
I have spoken to my ISP and the modem/router provider (Billion) and they suggest all is fine on their end. I have also turned off all firewalls to see if this helped, it didn’t.
I deleted LW pro off my computer then paid to have the latest version of pro installed and it worked well for a few days then nothing again.
I would try to uninstall and then install again but I want avoid continually paying to have pro reinstalled.
I would love to get it sorted if anyone can help.

Is your router a wireless one? If yes, then perhaps all the incompletes are sending far too messages thru the router & destabilising it. Wireless devices do not give reliable speeds, they will fluctuate. Try this Tip: Purge the Downloads Queue! (click on blue link). I'm guessing you may well have some fake files mixed in which make LW work harder.

Why would you need to pay for pro again if you only just bought it? Six months of updates. Just go to your Personal Pro download page, ... remember the one you used to download pro from. Bookmark it. You can keep a copy of your pro installer.
