I am having problems downloading torrents from limewire, I find them on the pirate bay and open them in limewire, I am able to get a turbo connection to limewire but it is always unable to connect to peers for torrents only. I think it is my college that is blocking ports but if someone is able to give me a hint at what the problem might be I would be very grateful. Thanks.

Limewire is not best suited for torrents. Don't waste your time. LW is actually Blocked from Many torrent sites because of the way it has been implemented, hence the exact issues you're having.
Use either uTorrent or Azureus - now called Vuze. If you have a Turbo charged Connection then the Uni is not Blocking ports. |
