I am new to Lime Wire and i am just wondering if it is always so slow.... it took me 45min to dL an mp3 today.... is this normal or is it just from heavy traffic and bad timing on my part?

BTW very nice UI.... so easy to use.

Hi there, I got the same problem and didn't wanted do use the Preview version of Morfeus, because of its poor searchfunction.

Well, imagine what I did? I'm back to morfeus, even with this poor functionality, but it works and quick, realy quick.

You whiney complainly people need to realize limewire has nothing to to with the upload speeds of other people. I have a cable modem, but my ISP limits my uploads to 12K. I certainly wont let limewire use all 12, so i set it to 8. I also have 2 slots open for uploads. 8/2 = 4K. despite the fact im on a cable, ill only upload to you at 4. At school i use limewire and have dual T1s, I download off people (multi threading too) at 100+K. Its all about who you download off of. also, if you have the bandwidth to spare, go to the connections tab, and keep more connections open. This connects you to more people, and therefore you can stream off more at teh same time. with a cable modem, ,i connect to 6 other servers... but at school, i connect to 20. Thats alot of people. As far as multithreading...Morpheus did this automatically, but with limewire you have to choose, "download all" (implying download off all these people) instead of just double clicking the file. Hope this helps, and if im wrong, someone (nicely) let me know
