'shaking orgasm' in search results I am on a Mac, using a newly installed version 4.18.8 Pro -- I have downloaded three mp3 files, all of the same song: *****(an australian artist). They were downloaded from as many as 12 peers. The files show up in my Shared file, but not in iTunes. (although iTunes became activated when the first file was complete in its downloading). None of the files will play either with the Limewire media player nor (when I change players in options) can I drag them into iTunes. (iTunes rejects the attempt to bring in the icon). Other songs in my Shared file DO play when I click on them (and show up in iTunes as well). I am mystified as to what the problem may be... can it be the files themselves ? Perhaps, someone else with a Mac, could attempt to download this song and see what happens -- or is that asking for too much? Any help will be appreciated. In the meantime, i will try downloading some other song. I have never encountered this problem with previous versions of Limewire and iTunes (but this is my first attempt in about six months and the software has changed.) a further note: I have just downloaded a song by ***** from The Big Lebowski. it showed up immediately in iTunes and is playable. that would suggest there is something suspect about the other files, despite their showing up in my Shared Files folder. I am somewhat puzzled, however, that BOTH of my searches -- for "*****" and for the ***** song, produced search results that are headed "***** Sexy Girl has orgasm..." and "***** Sexy Girl has orgasm" - with 53 peers offering each. It will be a nuisance if every time i search i get porno-spam in my results... is there any way to stop such nonsense? A Marital Problem... I had lately a problem with my wife in regard to the Sexy Girl has orgasm...she thought I was downloading porn and she got furious and it took me some days to explain to her that it was a nuisance that appeared on Limewire frequently...SO WHEN WILL BE THE MOMENT THAT THE TECHNICIANS IN CHARGE OF LIMEWIRE WILL DELETE IT?... The LW developers can't delete files from the network. That's not how LW works. There's no central server - when LW connects, it connects to the Gnutella network & whatever results you see are files that are being shared by other users. The files are saved on peoples' computers & then they share them to other users. If you want to stop seeing this spam in your searches, click on the blue link in post #4. Read the info there... there's info about adding words to LW's keyword filter. Tools > options > filters > keyword. Add the word orgasm to your filter then click Apply > ok. |
