if u update from lw 4 to 5 will u have to pay all over again?

Depends when you bought pro. :) And which package you bought, the cheap one off (with no updates), the default 6 month or 12 month support with updates.

well i didnt pay my friend bought the program and then he just put his email in the limewire site and downloaded onto my computer
also limewire is illeagle(whats the worst they can do to us)
if i get frostwire can i put all my files from limewire to frostwire

Lord of the Rings April 19th, 2009 10:36 AM

The LimeWire program is not illegal. :) Is MicroSoft Word illegal, is Adobe Flash illegal ... is Firefox illegal? No ... but you can download illegal content using Firefox. That does not make the program illegal. ;) LW was not designed for sharing illegal content. It's a user problem. What's more, everyone who uses LW or FW clicks an agreement not to use the program for sharing illegal content.

oh i see
is it true u can get limewire 5 for free at
Limewire2009.FreeDownIoad.net
Limewire2009.Free-Muzic.com

Lord of the Rings April 19th, 2009 12:22 PM

oh you are talking about scam versions. You didn't say that earlier. You simply said LimeWire is illegal.
FW & LW are very similar & your download prefs at least for the earlier versions of FW could be shared between both programs.

wow do u know like every problem answer
also can i devot more of my speed into limewire?

Lord of the Rings April 20th, 2009 11:01 PM

I read somewhere LW 5 has some built-in restrictions for speed so it does not take over your entire bandwidth. But under Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> Transfers, is where you can set speed limitations, etc. :)
For LW 4, you can set speed under Tools -> Options -> Speed & Downloads/Uploads.

rooster5109 April 21st, 2009 04:54 PM

do you know how to get rid of those restrictions for limewire?
