Unhappy Is anyone having problems with 2.2.4?

Hi,

I'd just recently downloaded the newer version of LimeWire 2.2.4 a few days ago. When I'd downloaded files, it was 100% progressed. Then, I went to checked my library, none of the files that I'd downloaded showed up. I even checked my computer for shared files to see if it was there, and it wasn't. (Yes, I checked under option to make sure that I am using am using the right shared file).

So, luckily, I didn't delete the 1.8 version. I tested it (downloaded) and it showed up in my library and my computer shared files.

I am still using 1.8 version because all the other upgraded version were having a lot of problems. I know that my solution is to stick with 1.8 for now. But I was just wondering if anyone out there is having the same problems as I did. I would appreciate that! Thanks a bunch!

Arrow 2.2.4 probs

maybe the cause of your non-existant downloads is the well documented but apparently ignored problem which was also present in 2.2.3 and which some posted a patch for, but limewire obviously never got the patch cause the problem is still there:

if you have a download resume automatically in a new session, then the new file will be downloaded but not stored anywhere, then the old incomplete version will be copied to your normal storage place .. leaving you with incomplete files.

Another 2.2.4 bug:

if uploading the number of slots available is actually ONE LESS than the number specified, ie if you set 1 slot, in fact no one can upload.

Please everyone be aware of this, maybe it's why so many people can't download.

Set your upload slots to at least 2 unless you are a greedy git who won't share.
