i have used lw many time before but for some reason i can't log on. i get a mixed screen not legible i have ver.5.13 and windows xp i tried turning off my firewall and my avg virus protection.

Here's a few things to try:
1. Step 5 & 6 here Fixes for Limewire (click on blue link); ie: change compatibility mode & set to run as admin.
