hi im tryin to download a movie with limewire on windows xp, my internet has night usage unlimited at 256kbps so im tryin to download a movie in parts every night but every 4th night that i try continuin the download the file gets stuck n just keeps goin up 1% then down 1% it just keeps movin around there..ive tried it for hours but doesnt move more..i dnt think its a problem with my internet as i have been usin a mb limited internet in the day in that i can dwnld the whole movie without ny problem..plz help me i have tried downldin three different movies n still m facin the same problem..Thankz

Which version of LW are you using?

Are you downloading the movie from the gnutella network or is it a torrent?
LW isn't a good torrent client (has issues with tracking share ratio, lack of options & is even banned by some trackers). Most people here would recommend Vuze or uTorrent

If you're downloading a torrent, did you check for comments about the file before download?

If you're downloading from the Gnutella network, have you checked the file with Bitzi? How to use Bitzi

hi im usin limewire 4.18..dwnldn it thru gnutella network..n no the file is not corrupted as i have tried dwnldn 3 diff files n i alwaz end up gettin the same problem alwaz on the 4th time i resume my dnld..thankz

Downloads will usually fluctuate up & down because LW detects a corruption. LW attempts to redownload the parts of the file that it thinks are corrupt.

However, since you are using LW 4.18, try pausing the download & then resuming. Perhaps the download connection is simply going stale for some odd reason. That does happen. Also search, try to find more hosts to download from.

i've been usin limewire since a pretty long time n have tried everythin possible..i've paused n resumed, ive cancelled n continued from the incomplete folder, i've tried diff files, but it alwaz turns out to b the same..d weird thin is it happens every 4th time that i resume..

This is not happening to every video download though is it? Only this or a couple specific ones. You might need to try & find a different version or source for it (can be difficult to find a different one). I've had same thing happen to me. Eventually finding someone with a version that was not corrupt.

Have you done a Bitzi look up to check if the file is reported at all?
