i don't honestly think its the hard dirve but will try your solution. It also happens when i use frostwire and has been going for a few weeks?
always larger files, if the download speed is say 12kb/s, it will jump up 2 70-100kb/s and the percentage bar will fluctuate a precent or two every few minutes.
