Hey guys, for the last few weeks I get this issue that when i download large files (greater than 75mb), i sometimes get a fast download speed but the file does not progress, like it was just some 'fake' data being sent.
The file will progress (10-15% lets say), then when i restart LW, its back to 10%??? Some times the file will progress to say 15% then go back to 10%. All this use's up my bandwidth which i pay for by the meg. I know its not 'real' data as when i preview the file, there is nothing extra. Please help cheers |

erm ... possible options ... right-click the downloading file & choose save to a different location .. a different partition or drive if possible.
![]() If using Vista .. right click everything LW touches .. folders to save to etc. & choose Run as Admin ... etc. .. make sure permissions are correct. You might also want to de-fragment your drives occasionally. |

i don't honestly think its the hard dirve but will try your solution. It also happens when i use frostwire and has been going for a few weeks?
always larger files, if the download speed is say 12kb/s, it will jump up 2 70-100kb/s and the percentage bar will fluctuate a precent or two every few minutes. Last edited by lostbwi; August 10th, 2009 at 12:31 PM. |
