Default Windows COM surrogate

I updated my Limewire Pro today and proceeded to download a video file. The file stored in the same shared file folder I have used for every version of Limewire. I scanned the download for viruses as per usual. However, when I attempted to open the file using Windows Media Player, I get a message telling me that Windows COM surrogate has shut down the player. Does anyone out there know why this is occurring?
I will run this question past the Vista Forums geniuses to see if the problem is solely a Vista problem, but it seems strange that the system worked fine prior to installing the latest version of Limewire.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Regards
Powell Lucas
