Used to work before, but now when I try to open up a video from my files limewire just closes down and nothing opens up. Would anyone please help?

Try using a different player. We normally recommend VLC; VLC - (click on link). There has been known issues for some people when using WMP with LW 5.

usually when you install a new player it automatically becomes the default player for your system

To do it manually: Setting Default video app.
As Peerless suggested, Windows programs almost always ask you upon installing or opening for first time if you wish to make it the default for opening a certain type of file it can handle. |
